This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit steelslittingline.com or send us an enquiry, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
WUXI JINYE COMPLETE EQUIPMENT CO., LTD. (“JINYE”, “we”) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We design and build steel coil slitting lines and cut to length lines at our factory in Wuxi, China, and sell them to manufacturers worldwide.
- Address: No. 77 Zhangmaqiao Road, Ehu Town, Xishan District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, China
- Email: slittingline@foxmail.com
- Phone / WhatsApp: +86 189 3238 3779
2. What we collect
Enquiry details. When you submit the enquiry form on a product or contact page, we collect the name, business email address, telephone number, country and equipment interest you enter, together with the message you write. If you describe your coil, material, thickness, line speed or site conditions in that message, that information is stored with the enquiry.
Technical data. Each submitted enquiry also records the IP address, browser user agent string and submission time. We use these only to filter spam and abusive submissions and to keep an audit trail of consent to our terms.
Analytics data. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, time on page, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and the site that referred you. We do not use it to identify individuals, and we do not enable Google advertising or remarketing features.
Video and messaging links. Our company video is embedded from YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you start the video; once you do, Google may set cookies and process data under its own privacy policy. Buttons that open WhatsApp take you to WhatsApp (operated by Meta), where that service’s own policy applies.
3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation — processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep enquiries free of spam and to secure the website — our legitimate interest in protecting the service (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To follow up on a business enquiry and to keep records of orders — our legitimate interest in conducting B2B business, and our legal obligation to keep commercial records where applicable (Art. 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(c)).
- To measure how the website is used — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your enquiry details for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who else sees it
We share data only with service providers that help us run the website, and only as far as needed:
- Our hosting and email providers, which store the website and the enquiry records.
- Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-96S4GD6GF8) and YouTube embeds.
- Our freight forwarders or banks, where an order requires it.
Because we operate from China, your data may be transferred to and stored outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards for the transfer, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, and we keep transfers limited to what the purpose requires.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Enquiries and records relating to an order: for the period required by commercial and tax law.
- Spam and abuse logs: up to 12 months.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months, the retention period configured in Google Analytics.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete data we no longer need for the purpose it was collected;
- restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- receive the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent to analytics at any time — this does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
Write to slittingline@foxmail.com and we will respond within one month. We may ask for information to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom and believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you can complain to your national data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to resolve the issue with you first.
7. Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies for advertising or profiling. Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics only after you accept them; if you decline, or ignore the banner, analytics stays switched off and no analytics cookie is written. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser and reloading the page, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing enquiries will be communicated by email where we hold an address for you.
