Light Gauge Precision Steel Sheet Slitting Line is customized as per customers coming steel coil sheet dimensions & weight as well well finished baby coils specification and production. Slitting speed is optional 100m/min, 120m/min, 150m/min, 200m/min plus down time(the time of loading, threading and unloading) within 10minutes. average 15T coil needs 30minutes, each day 8hours can slit 240T.

Continuous light gauge steel coil sheet slitting at high speed in high precision, each unit of slitting line is elaborately designed, machined, assembled and installed to give smooth slitting process. We design and make customized slitting lines of high speed high precision for thin gauge steel sheet slitting for customers around the world.

Composition

Coil preparing saddle, Coil loading Car, Uncoiler, Coil head Opener, Pinch feeder & Pre-leveler, Shear, Pit accumulator 1, Entry guide, Slitter, Scrap winder, Pit Accumulator 2, Tensioner and Pre-separator, post shear and deflector roller, recoiler with overarm separator, coil discharging car, (turnstile)

  • Uncoiler: single mandrel cantilever type for coil load 15-20T or double taper heads uncoiler for 20 -30T
  • Pinch feeder and Preleveler: pinch feeding steel strip to slitter in Jog and feed strip into pit accumulator in automatic mode.
  • Slitter is the heart of the slitting line, install disc knives, spacers, rubber rings or wooden strips to realize slitting, double slitters fast exchange is optional
  • Slit tails press roller: installed on roll table over scrap winders, to press slit strips tails not fall into pit loop.
  • Scrap winder: vertical type or horizontal type is available, wind up edge scraps.
  • Strips separating: three times strips separating( twice before tension, once before recoiling).
  • Tensioning station: channels slotted beams clamp wool felt to provide ajustable recoiling tension.
  • Deflector encoding roller: deflect strips direction before recoiling and measure line speed to realize synchronization between slitter and recoiler
  • Recoiler: seamless mandrel or normal segments mandrel are available, to wind up strips in order under press strips separating.

Q & A

1.Q: What is the working range of this 1300 mm slitting line?
A: 0.3-3 mm thickness and 300-1300 mm coil width, with 508 mm coil inside diameter and up to 1800 mm outside diameter. Maximum coil weight is 20 t, so a full mill coil is loaded without re-cutting it first.

2.Q: How fast can it run and how accurate is the slit edge?
A: 0-120 m/min, continuously adjustable. Slit width is held to plus or minus 0.10 mm and coiling hump to 0.5 mm or better, which is the tolerance downstream tube mills and roll formers need to avoid strip wander.

3.Q: How many strips per coil?
A: Up to 25 strips in 0.3-1 mm gauge, or about 10 strips at 2-3 mm. Strip width can go down to 20 mm, so the practical count is set by the knife arrangement confirmed in the quotation.

4.Q: What equipment is included in the line?
A: Coil preparing saddle, coil loading car, uncoiler, coil head opener, pinch feeder and pre-leveler, shear, pit accumulator, entry guide, slitter, scrap winder, tensioner and pre-separator, post shear, recoiler with overarm separator and coil discharging car.

5.Q: Which knife materials are available?
A: SKD11, SLD and H13K disc knives, matched to coil grade and surface requirement. Spacers are 45# steel, cushion rings rubber or PU, separators nylon with 16Mn discs.

Build standards and working accuracy

Which components and brands go into a slitting line?

Structural parts are welded to a minimum throat of two thirds the thinner plate, shot-blasted before painting and finished with two top coats. Uncoiler, slitter and recoiler shafts are forged 42CrMo and supplied with a material certificate; gears are 20CrMnTi, case-hardened and ground. Bearings, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical parts come from named suppliers — Yuken valves, AirTac cylinders, HIWIN linear guides, Mitsubishi or Siemens PLC, Proface HMI, OMRON sensors — and the final bill of components is fixed on the approved drawing for each line.

What slitting and recoiling accuracy can the line hold?

On a typical slitting line, slit width is held to ±0.05 mm on strip narrower than 100 mm and thinner than 1.5 mm, and to ±0.10 mm in other conditions. Camber stays within 1.0 mm over 2 m, burr within 3% of strip thickness for strip up to 1.0 mm and 4% between 1.0 and 2.0 mm, winding misalignment within ±1.0 mm and telescope within ±2.0 mm. Final tolerances are agreed on the drawing for the specific line.

How is the line installed and supported after delivery?

Engineers attend the customer's plant to supervise installation and train the operators on the line as built. Spare parts are supplied at any time, and remote technical support stays available for the life of the machine.
