Introduction of Flying Shear Cut to Length Machine
0.3-2x1100mm Flying Shear Cut to Length Line Machine is specially designed to cut to length of stainless steel coil with thickness 0.3-2mm, and width maximum 1100mm.
Machine Advantage of Flying Shear Cut to Length Machine
1.The flying shear/ rotary shear is specially suitable for short length sheets cutting, although the extremely short sheets take more time to precisely track and cut, its cutting frequency still can be around 100pcs/min.
2)Thin sheet can be easily cut in one fast stroke, thus fly shear is available: the sheet runs at stable speed, fly shear fast cut off a sheet while synchronously tracking the running sheet, the track cutting process takes about 0.5s, max cutting frequency can be up to 150times/min. The maximum cutting speed can be 80m/min

Q & A
1.Q: What is the cutting capacity of this flying shear line?
A: 0.3-2 mm stainless coil up to 1100 mm wide. The flying shear is aimed at short sheet lengths, where a stop-start shear would lose most of its cycle time.
2.Q: How many cuts per minute can it make?
A: Around 100 cuts per minute, including short blanks. Short sheets need more time to track and cut precisely, but the shear still holds that frequency, which is what makes short-length production economic.
3.Q: Why is flying shear better for short sheets?
A: Thin sheet can be cut in one fast stroke, so the blade does not need the strip to stop. The line keeps running and the shear travels with the strip during the cut.
4.Q: What material is it designed for?
A: Stainless steel coil in the 0.3-2 mm range. The lighter gauge means lower cutting force, which is why the line reaches 100 cuts per minute without a heavier frame.
5.Q: What determines finished sheet quality?
A: Blade condition, strip tension and the accuracy of the length encoder. Because the cut happens on the fly, the shear has to match strip speed exactly, and that synchronisation is handled by the line control.
Build standards and working accuracy
Which components and brands go into a cut to length line?
Structural parts are welded to a minimum throat of two thirds the thinner plate, shot-blasted before painting and finished with two top coats. Uncoiler, slitter and recoiler shafts are forged 42CrMo and supplied with a material certificate; gears are 20CrMnTi, case-hardened and ground. Bearings, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical parts come from named suppliers — Yuken valves, AirTac cylinders, HIWIN linear guides, Mitsubishi or Siemens PLC, Proface HMI, OMRON sensors — and the final bill of components is fixed on the approved drawing for each line.
Which shear and leveling arrangement does the line use?
A medium gauge line uses a servo track flying shear that follows the leveling speed and cuts on the move; heavy gauge plate is leveled twice, pre-leveling and fine leveling, to relieve internal stress before shearing, and stainless or aluminium coil is edge trimmed ahead of the cut. The arrangement follows the gauge, the material and the surface the sheet has to keep.
How is the line installed and supported after delivery?
Engineers attend the customer's plant to supervise installation and train the operators on the line as built. Spare parts are supplied at any time, and remote technical support stays available for the life of the machine.
